VELVET professional maintenance repositions hair extensions according to natural growth, application method and weight distribution to preserve order and comfort.

Natural hair grows continuously, so extension attachments gradually move away from their original position.

Maintenance is essential for preserving neatness, comfort and correct weight distribution.

• VELVET Refill: a quick, precise service used to reposition extensions according to the installed method. Attachments are opened or removed and placed back in the correct position. As a general reference, this is often assessed every 6–8 weeks.
• VELVET Remontage: complete removal and reapplication of the selected amount, rebuilding the distribution according to VELVET standards. As a general reference, this may be needed after several months depending on growth, method and the condition of the system.

The service is available for VELVET Bridge, Fusion, Tailored and Tape, with amounts from 25 to 200 g according to the combinations available in the selector.

Damaged attachments, additional hair or work not included in the purchased variant are assessed separately.

What is the difference between Refill and Remontage?

Refill corrects the position of the attachments as the natural hair grows while preserving the existing installation where the system allows it. Remontage is more extensive: it involves removing and fully reapplying the selected amount to rebuild the sectioning and distribution.

How often is maintenance needed?

Six to eight weeks is a common reference point for several repositionable systems, not a universal deadline. Growth rate, method, amount of hair, natural hair and daily routine can all move the check-up earlier or later. If you notice strong tension, tangling at the base, attachments that have moved significantly or instability, it is better not to wait for the scheduled date.

Does maintenance extend the lifespan of the extensions?

It can help preserve order and correct distribution, but the lifespan of the lengths also depends on hair quality, washing, friction, heat and daily care. A perfectly repositioned attachment cannot magically turn worn hair into new fibre, convenient though that would be.
