Short answer: yes, many human hair extensions can be reused, but not all in the same way. Reuse depends on the method, the condition of the hair, the construction of the attachment and how the system is removed and prepared for the next application.
“Reusable” does not therefore mean “remove it and put it back exactly as it is”. In some systems, part of the attachment is replaced; in others, the structure is repositioned; in others still, the attachment point needs to be rebuilt professionally.
Which methods are best suited to reuse?
Micro-rings: the hair or weft can be repositioned if it is still in good condition. The rings are fastening elements and can be replaced during maintenance. In VELVET Bridge XL, for example, the weft works with micro-rings and a pre-perforated base.

The hair from a keratin bond extension can sometimes be recovered, but the old keratin bond is not simply reused as it is. After professional removal, the strands need to be assessed, cleaned and, if suitable, prepared with a new attachment point before possible reapplication.

When is reuse not worthwhile?
