It does not mean that the hair is “double”, that two extensions are applied together or that the weight is automatically greater. The term describes how the lengths are distributed within the total weight.
Why does a natural bundle tend to be thinner at the ends?
In a collection of hair that has not been selected to the same length, each hair ends at a different point. Some reach the maximum length, while others are shorter. It resembles natural hair: the mass gradually becomes thinner towards the bottom.
With Double Drawn selection, the proportion of hairs reaching the longer lengths is increased. At the same weight, the ends can therefore look fuller and more compact.
Are Double Drawn and Remy the same thing?
No. They are separate definitions. Remy concerns consistent hair and cuticle orientation; Double Drawn concerns the selection of lengths. An extension can be described by both characteristics, but one does not automatically imply the other.

When is more even density useful?
It is particularly useful when you want lengthening with visibly full ends, when the natural haircut is full or when a significant length should not look too transparent at the bottom.
This does not mean that maximum fullness is always the best choice. For some volume-only work or very light natural bases, a softer and more gradual result may be preferable. Quality is not about having “the maximum” of everything; it is about choosing a construction that suits the result.
