How do you use an extension colour ring?

Separate a few swatches at a time and hold them next to the areas of hair that need to blend with the extensions. For lengthening, the mid-lengths and ends are often more informative than the root alone. For a topper, the colour of the upper area that remains visible is also especially important.

Why is a photo not enough?

White balance, ambient light, camera processing and display settings can all change the apparent temperature and depth of a shade. A physical colour ring lets you compare both samples in the same environment and under the same light.

What about balayage or multidimensional colours?
