Size, colour and tool should be selected according to the extension system being used. Micro rings and nano rings are not interchangeable across every method.
Micro rings vs nano rings: what is the difference?
The most obvious difference is size, but simply choosing the smallest ring does not automatically create a better application. The ring must be compatible with the extension construction, the amount of natural hair involved and the tool being used.
How do I choose the ring colour?
The aim is to minimise visibility near the attachment area. Choose a shade that blends primarily with the roots and the area where the attachment will sit, not necessarily with the ends of the extensions.
Are they designed for DIY application?
No. Closing a ring onto an unsuitable section or with excessive tension can create unwanted traction and discomfort. Application, checking and removal of permanent systems require professional technique.
